- here's what we're working with -
at marty jean we love to work with fabrics that work for you. all of our fabrics are easy to wear and easy to wash - with the exception of a few special limited edition pieces. we only use natural materials that will breathe and wear well for a long time to come. they are ethically sourced and often support other women-owned businesses. this, plus our commitment to sustainability, means you can feel as good about your clothes as you feel in them.
Join the fashion revolution!
Fashion Revolution Week helps us look at ways we can improve this thing we all love - fashion - while taking care of this other thing we all love - the planet! Fashion Revolution Week also focuses on how we can be better informed about who is making our clothes and holding companies accountable for how those people are treated. A quick cheat sheet to be making your best choices:
1: BUY NOTHING!!! It feels funny to have brought you to my site and then tell you to buy nothing, but really this is the most sustainable thing you can do, plus if you take good care of what you have you wont need to buy anything:)
2: BUY USED - Buying used helps to cut down waste, keeps things out of the landfill and hopefully means less is produced.
3: BUY LOCAL - There are some many good things about buying local: supporting your community, knowing where and how your products are produced, reduced carbon footprint, and so many more.
4: BUY QUALITY - When you buy a quality item, hopefully it will last you a long time and you can then not need to buy anything in the future if you take good care of it. When you are done with this item it will be a used item that will be useful to someone else.
